Today I finished Fugitive Telemetry. Murderbot ends up on a space station where he’s involuntarily volunteered to solve a murder. Together with humans, aided by his paranoia - it’s a great setup.
The book touches on AI, consciousness, what it means to be human, and cybersecurity. Nothing too deep, but it doesn’t need to be. The science fiction and Murderbot’s cynicism are what make it so enjoyable.
I found the tv-series first (on IMDB) and just had to read the books when I found out it was based on them. So far they haven’t disappointed!
