Anne-Marie Koenraad gave the lecture on the Aurora at Halley Observatory together with her husband Paul Koenraad — the two have been married for 43 years. See 2026-06-28 Lezing over het Poollicht bij Halley.

Where Paul covered the history and physics, Anne-Marie took the second half: the couple’s two expeditions to Finland to actually see and photograph the northern lights. She shared practical tips for such a trip — when and where to go, working out on the ice for a wider horizon, shooting in the long dark winter nights — and showed beautiful results of their own observations.
